Mutilators   

In 1971 I was born in a passenger seat of a 1963 Corvette. My parents took the Corvette hard top convertible and turned it into funny car. I have many 1st place trophies to prove they did well.

Some of my 1st memories were at race tracks, driving my dad’s speed boat. I would sit on my dad’s lap and drive his van every chance I got. Later my dad opened a van conversion customizing business. This is where I got to my start with tools and engines. I remember my dad asking me what engine to put in the boat, I said the big one!

In High school I excelled in ROP automotive classes winning tri-count automotive contests. I Graduated from Wyotech in the top of class. At school a race took place between a “sleeper” Monte Carlo and a 327 Camaro. The Monte Carlo was considered the fastest car in school. I spanked the Monte Carlo with my 1967 VW Bug. I got to 4th gear before he caught up.

I worked for Sears, Midas and for a Bugatti kit car company.

Later I started working at a large multi-brand import and domestic car line dealer. I really got the best training in the factory training programs. I found a way to get the dealer to send me to more training classes than my fellow Technicians. When I left the dealership game I was ranked as one of the highest Factory certified Technicians in Northern California.

I went to work for a great man and now a dear friend in an independent BMW shop. The plan was to buy his business, but our timing just didn’t work out. So in 2003 I opened my own Mini Cooper shop. To get by we did all makes and models.

In 2009 we expanded in a new location and are now well known as a leader in BMW and Mini Cooper Performance, Repair and Service. We have been blessed with regular clients from Reno to San Francisco.

I am planning a BMW project but my hobby is with old American Iron. I have built and done every part of a car, but I do know when it is best to use someone else’s specialties.
