In short: The Mutilators Motor Association was established in 2000 by Chico Von Spoon and Moldy Marvin while on a trip to Colorado to pick up a Model A.

At the same time the two decided to take a detour to go see Ed "Big Daddy" Roth in Manti Utah.

After visiting Roth for a couple of days the two decided to make a dead head run from Manti to Colorado, pick up the Model A and then straight back to Los Angeles.

The ride was long and tireing and as sleep deprivation kicked the two started joking around about a virtual automotive association called The Mutilators.

Shortly after their adventure the group was introduced on the web.

Since then the Mutilators Motor Association has grown to over 100 members world wide providing and extreme database that consists mostly of Roth followers, artists and builders who primarily do their own kustom automotive work !

The Car Warriors ALL STAR Challenge

In the early part of November of 2010 Moldy Marvin had been contacted by Adolph Kruger from Pimp My Ride to review his extensive data base of builders for the T.V. show "Car Warriors". They had been looking for personalities to feature as builders for the show. Moldy referred a few contacts for the ALL STAR team and at the same time started working on a team that could challenge them in the future!

Knowing that they would be going up against the best of the best, choosing members for the Mutilators team was going to be a challenge all on its own. Moldy Marvin an advocate for the equality in the automotive industry wanted to produce a mixed gender team, proving that both men and women could work side by side in the art of kustom fabrication.

"It took several months of reviewing my data base" Moldy said, "It seemed that there was no way I could put together a team of what I had in mind locally so I started contacting what I considered qualified friends from all over. My criteria was specific, I needed to find folks who had talents that crossed over and personalities that I believe can get along and work well as a team!"

"Once again the virtual world proved positive with Facebook playing a big part in organizing our team! Some of us have known each other for many years, some of us have worked together in the past but non of us have ever worked together as a team! This will be our biggest challenge but we as a team have no doubt that we can give the ALL STARS a run for their money!"
