Kayce Morris

Memphis, TN

Paint & Body, Mechanics (Certified Welder)

Kayce Morris has been interested in cars since the day she received her first Fisher Price take a part car! Unfortunately nobody in her family or none of her friends worked on cars so she had to take herself to school.

While attending Universal Technical Institute, she worked as a
intern at a custom shop in Houston Tx for 20 dollars a day just to start building up her experience. Upon graduating in 2007 she also received her I-CAR platinum status for the following.
Adhesive Bonding
Air Conditioning
Brakes & Alignment
Electrical Circuits and DVOM Usage
Stationary Glass
Measuring
Plastic Welding Repair
Plastic Adhesive Repair
Color Theory, Application, Tinting, and Blending
Steel Unibody Front and Rear Rails, Floors, and Front Structure
Steel Unibody, A-, B-, C-, D-Pillars, and Rocker Panels
Steel Full-Frame Sectioning
Structural Straightening Aluminum
Structural Straightening Steel
Tires and Wheels
Cosmetic Straightening Steel
Steel GMA (MIG) Welding
Squeeze-Type Resistance Spot Welding
Aluminum GMA (MIG) Welding

While these are what she has been certified in Kayce also specializes in custom paint and fabrication. Her second specialty would be frame work where she loves to pull frames back into specifications. She has been working since graduation at a local body shop where she started as a paint/body assistant and moved up to head painter within a year of working at her job.

She does her own side work to earn extra money and more recognition for her talent. Kayce takes pride in what she does and never gets enough from learning more about her specialty and any other parts of the car. She is currently taking Engines at a local community college so that she may also certify in mechanics as well.

She also has intentions of learning interior fabrication and basically anything else she can learn that has to do with cars.

Her off time is spent hangin' around her friends who spend all weekend long in the shop. Her free time is always spent on learning new things andpracticing new skills. Her possibilities are endless.
